About the role
Three-month Corporate Finance internship in Houlihan Lokey’s Amsterdam office offers exposure to M&A, debt, and equity advisory assignments. Interns work alongside investment bankers, support client materials, perform market, industry, and company analysis, and develop financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist investment bankers on M&A, debt, and equity advisory assignments across various industries.
- Prepare client materials and conduct market, industry, and company analyses.
- Support financial modelling, valuation analyses, and due diligence processes.
- Work alongside investment bankers with exposure comparable to a first-year analyst.
Training and Program Details
- Receive valuable on-the-job training throughout the internship.
- The internship lasts three months and is based in Amsterdam.
- Candidates must be available to start in December 2026.
Requirements
- Be an undergraduate, final-year student, or master’s student in full-time education during the internship.
- Study, or have achieved a degree, in accounting, economics, and/or finance.
- Demonstrate a strong academic track record and understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
- Have strong quantitative, financial, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Be fluent in both English and Dutch.
- Demonstrate an interest in mergers and acquisitions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous investment banking or related internship experience is desirable.
- Additional language skills and international experience are advantageous but not essential.
- Show motivation and the ability to work cooperatively across all staff levels in a demanding environment.
