About the role
Three-month off-cycle internship in Houlihan Lokey’s Amsterdam Corporate Finance team, supporting investment bankers on M&A, debt, and equity advisory assignments. Interns receive on-the-job training and first-year-analyst-level exposure through client materials, market and company analysis, financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence across varied industries.
Responsibilities
- Support investment bankers on M&A, debt, and equity advisory assignments.
- Prepare materials for clients and conduct market, industry, and company analyses.
- Develop experience in financial modelling and valuation analyses.
- Support due diligence processes across assignments and industries.
- Work alongside investment bankers in a demanding, rapidly changing environment.
Program Details
- Three-month internships are offered throughout the year at the Amsterdam office.
- Interns receive on-the-job training and exposure comparable to a first-year analyst.
- Candidates must be available to start from March 2027 onwards.
Requirements
- Be an undergraduate, final-year student, or Master’s student in full-time education during the internship.
- Study toward or hold a degree in accounting, economics, and/or finance.
- Demonstrate a strong academic track record and strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills.
- Understand valuation theory, methodologies, and applications.
- Demonstrate an interest in mergers and acquisitions.
- Be fluent in both English and Dutch.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous investment banking or related internship experience is desirable.
- Additional language skills are advantageous.
- International experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff at all levels is preferred.
