About the role

Join Houlihan Lokey's Financial Restructuring Group in Shanghai as a Summer Financial Analyst. Gain hands-on experience advising on restructurings, distressed M&A, and financial advisory services in a global investment banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creditor- and debtor-side restructurings and distressed M&A transactions.
• Advise companies and stakeholders in out-of-court and in-court restructurings.
• Support raising debt and equity financings.
• Provide distressed M&A advisory services.
• Participate in complex negotiations on behalf of clients.
• Work within deal teams including managing directors, VPs, associates, and analysts.

Requirements

• Strong academic record with or pursuing a 2:1 degree in accounting, economics, or finance.
• Demonstrated interest in restructuring and strong quantitative skills.
• Prior investment banking internship experience desirable but not essential.
• Thorough understanding of valuation theory and methodologies.
• Strong LBO and DCF modeling skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Mandarin.
