About the role

Guggenheim Securities seeks a 2027 Investment Banking Analyst for its Richmond Healthcare Services team, focused primarily on pharma services. The role supports strategic and financing assignments through valuation, financial modeling, transaction materials, industry research, client engagement, and M&A execution, working closely with senior bankers and client representatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, public comparable, and transaction comparable valuation analyses.
  • Prepare client pitch presentations and transaction marketing materials, including teasers and information memoranda.
  • Build company operating models and other transaction-related documentation.
  • Interact with senior bankers, client senior management, transaction lawyers, and accountants.
  • Research companies, industries, sector trends, client challenges, and business strategies.
  • Develop client relationships and gain an in-depth understanding of M&A deal processes.

Team and Coverage

  • Join the Healthcare Services team in Richmond, working primarily on pharma services coverage.
  • Work with Healthcare Services senior bankers based in Richmond and New York.
  • Support coverage across payors, providers, healthcare information technology, pharma services, and animal health.
  • Participate in small client teams on major strategic and financing assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree received in December 2026 or spring 2027.
  • Maturity and ability to work collaboratively with senior executives and management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written communication, and oral communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and effective process management abilities.
  • Initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.

Work Location

  • The role is expected to be based in the Richmond office at least four days per week.
