About the role

Join Guggenheim Securities for a 10-week Investment Banking Summer Associate Internship in New York. Gain hands-on experience in financial modeling, valuation, and client presentations while working closely with senior bankers and clients.

Role Responsibilities

• Support deal teams with financial modeling and valuation analysis.
• Perform discounted cash flow and multiple valuation analyses.
• Conduct company and industry research to understand sector trends.
• Prepare client presentations and interact with senior bankers and clients.
• Develop understanding of investment banking products: Debt, Equity, M&A, Restructuring.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and client service interest.
• Resourceful, intellectually curious, and enthusiastic about finance.
• Ability to work under pressure with senior management.
• Highly organized with multitasking ability and limited supervision.

Additional Skills

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Familiarity with Thomson/FactSet and Bloomberg.
• Prior investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance internship is a plus.
• Core modeling and valuation experience is advantageous.
• Interest in long-term work in New York.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be on track to receive an MBA or J.D. degree by Spring 2028.

Salary Details

• Annualized base salary of $175,000.
• Salary may vary by location and experience.
• Total compensation may include incentives beyond base salary.
