About the role

Join Guggenheim Securities’ Global Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking team in Los Angeles as an Analyst. Support M&A advisory and equity and fixed-income capital-raising assignments, working closely with senior bankers and clients. The role offers formal and hands-on training and is designed for candidates pursuing promotion to Associate and a long-term banking career.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants.
  • Build complex financial models and perform valuation analysis.
  • Draft management, lender, fairness opinion, pitchbook, and other client-facing documents.
  • Conduct due diligence and prepare information memoranda and transaction documentation.
  • Research competitors, sectors, and industry trends to support strategic recommendations.
  • Develop strategic frameworks and communicate recommendations to senior leadership and clients.

Training and Development

  • Receive formal and hands-on investment banking training.
  • Develop skills in M&A process management, financial analysis, data analysis, presentations, communication, and negotiations.
  • Work on major strategic and financing assignments within small client teams.
  • Gain meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree received in December 2025 or expected in Spring 2026.
  • Acquire the SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses within 150 days of employment.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, communication, process management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Show maturity, initiative, creativity, enthusiasm for learning, and ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively while interfacing with company executives and senior management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is preferred.

Work Location and Compensation

  • Work from the Los Angeles office at least four days per week.
  • Base salary is $110,000; total compensation may include incentive compensation.
  • Prior internships in investment banking, accounting, consulting, private equity, hedge funds, or corporate finance are advantageous.
