About the role
Goldman Sachs’ nine- to ten-week Summer Associate internship in Chicago is designed for students pursuing an advanced degree, including an MBA, PhD, JD, MD, or LLM. Participants receive orientation and training, then work on real responsibilities alongside investment banking professionals across strategic advice and financing activities.
Program Experience
- Attend orientation covering Goldman Sachs’ culture, benefits, and responsibilities as a firm member.
- Receive training designed to support success during the summer internship.
- Work on real responsibilities alongside fellow interns and Goldman Sachs professionals.
Investment Banking Division
- Support teams delivering strategic advice and creative financing solutions to clients.
- Potential work includes mergers and acquisitions, financing, and risk management transactions.
- Examples include cross-border mergers, subsidiary initial public offerings, and bond refinancing.
