About the role
Garda Capital Partners seeks a Software Engineer Intern for summer 2027 in New York. Gain experience in enterprise software development at a global hedge fund, working with Python and SQL to support front office and risk systems.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop new business solutions using Python and SQL.
- Support senior staff in designing and implementing front office and risk systems.
- Provide support for in-house and third-party applications.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Quantitative Finance.
- Experience with Python libraries and at least one statically typed language.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals and object-oriented programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills and high coding standards.
- Interest or experience in financial trading, especially fixed income, is a plus.
- Effective in high-energy, time-sensitive team environments with strong communication skills.
Additional Skills
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and ability to write/debug code independently.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary expected at $50 USD per hour.
