Graduate Trader

About the role

Flow Traders seeks Graduate Traders for its Amsterdam Trading team. The role begins with a three-month training program covering financial products, trading processes, pricing strategies, systems, simulations, and quantitative classes. Successful trainees join an established trading desk, gradually monitoring markets and making decisions that contribute to desk profitability.

Role and Training

• Complete an extensive three-month training program at Flow Traders’ Amsterdam office.
• Learn about financial products, trading processes, pricing strategies, and proprietary trading systems.
• Participate in trading simulations and quantitative classes led by Senior Traders and Quantitative Researchers.
• Complete a team project with fellow Graduate Traders before desk assignment.
• Gradually monitor markets and make split-second decisions contributing to desk profitability.

Requirements

• University degree, preferably in a quantitative or related discipline.
• Demonstrable interest in trading and global financial markets.
• Understanding of financial products and proficiency in a programming language; Python is preferred.
• Keen interest in IT systems, with strong analytical skills and excellent mental arithmetic.
• Ability to perform under pressure, identify opportunities, and act assertively.
• Entrepreneurial, creative, collaborative, and communicative approach to problem-solving.
