About the role

The Equity Research Summer Associate internship in New York places candidates with a Senior Research Analyst and sector team. Associates conduct proprietary research, analyze companies and markets, build financial models, contribute to reports and presentations, and may own research products published to clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial, valuation, and industry analysis to support equity research reports and presentations.
• Perform proprietary research and speak with company management, customers, competitors, and government regulators.
• Build financial models and resolve complex financial and accounting issues.
• Develop expertise in an assigned sector covering macroeconomic, policy, and industry drivers.
• Contribute to company initiations, deep-dive sector pieces, and other client-published research products.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a first-year MBA student at a top business school.
• Several years of relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting.
• Superior analytical skills and demonstrated academic excellence.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic; enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character.

Program Details

• Assigned to one Senior Research Analyst and sector for the duration of the summer program.
• Coverage areas include energy, consumer, financials, healthcare, REITs, transportation, and technology, media, and telecommunications.
