About the role

Evercore’s 10-week Summer Analyst Program places undergraduates on its Strategic, Defense & Shareholder Advisory team in New York. Analysts support live activism, raid defense, contested M&A, and special committee assignments through research and analysis. The role offers exposure to corporate governance, shareholder engagement, M&A coverage groups, and multiple industries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis and research for client presentations, internal meetings, and marketing materials.
  • Support live shareholder activism, raid defense, contested M&A, and special committee assignments.
  • Analyze potential vulnerabilities to activist shareholders and potential acquirers.
  • Prepare materials covering hostile activity, shareholder engagement, and corporate governance.
  • Work alongside M&A coverage groups across multiple industries and manage several projects simultaneously.

Program

  • Join Evercore’s Strategic, Defense & Shareholder Advisory team within the Advisory business.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment while learning on the job.
  • Gain exposure to blue-chip clients and strategic advisory matters.

Requirements

  • Pursue an undergraduate degree with graduation between December 2028 and June 2029.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and interest in finance and shareholder activism.
  • Show superior analytical skills and academic excellence.
  • Demonstrate ambition, self-direction, creativity, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with a strong team-based attitude.
  • Manage multiple projects under pressure and demonstrate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
