2028 Strategic Advisory: Mergers & Acquisitions Summer Analyst Program – Toronto Generalist

About the role

A 10-week Toronto Summer Analyst program offering undergraduate students practical experience in strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions. Analysts support multiple transaction assignments, develop financial and analytical skills, work closely with small teams and clients, and receive internal training designed to prepare them for the desk.

Responsibilities

• Support mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, recapitalizations, divestitures, partnerships and joint ventures.
• Prepare for and attend client meetings with team members and client contacts.
• Build financial models and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Conduct industry analysis, due diligence and new business development activities.
• Work on several projects concurrently within small advisory teams.

Program and Training

• Complete a 10-week Summer Analyst Program in Toronto.
• Receive robust internal training before joining the desk.
• Gain exposure to strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions assignments.
• Work closely with client contacts and Evercore partners.

Requirements

• Pursue an undergraduate degree graduating between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Maintain a strong academic record and demonstrate diverse interests.
• Demonstrate knowledge of investment banking and global markets.
• Bring quantitative, analytical, critical-thinking and effective communication skills.
• Show enthusiasm, flexibility, achievement orientation and a strong work ethic.
• All academic majors are encouraged to apply.
