About the role
Evercore’s 10-week Summer Analyst Program in New York offers undergraduate students experience within the Private Funds Group, advising private fund sponsors on capital raising. Analysts rank a preferred focus between GP Advisory and LP Distribution, supporting fundraising strategy, execution, investor relationships, market mapping, documentation, and client reporting.
Role and Focus Areas
- Support Evercore’s Private Funds Group, which provides global capital-raising advisory services to private fund sponsors.
- Rank a preferred vertical: GP Advisory or LP Distribution.
- GP Advisory supports fundraising strategy, competitive positioning, market assessment, diligence, marketing materials, and client reporting.
- LP Distribution supports investor relationships, fundraise execution, LP requests, market mapping, and internal documentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and update marketing materials, GP overviews, preparation notes, and internal tracking documents.
- Execute diligence requests and provide effective client reporting for private fund managers.
- Assist distribution professionals with ad hoc limited partner requests and fundraising activities.
- Work across varied responsibilities independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Pursue an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029.
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills, strong quantitative ability, and close attention to detail.
- Show initiative, self-motivation, independence, enthusiasm, flexibility, and an achievement-oriented character.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related applications.
- Private equity fundraising experience is not required, but enthusiasm for private equity and quick learning are expected.
