2028 Capital Markets Advisory: Ratings Advisory Summer Analyst Program – New York

About the role

Evercore’s 10-week New York Ratings Advisory Summer Analyst Program offers undergraduate students experience evaluating credit profiles, developing credit-rating and capital-structure strategies, and supporting advisory mandates. Analysts work in small teams on financial analysis, modeling, rating materials, and client presentations, with exposure to senior bankers, partners, and client contacts.

Responsibilities

• Support credit rating advisory mandates by preparing rating materials and assisting with rating agency due diligence.
• Develop views on rating agency trends and sector-specific credit considerations for internal and client presentations.
• Evaluate capital structure and transaction alternatives, including financial, leverage, and credit rating implications.
• Perform financial modeling, historical and projected statement analysis, leverage and coverage analysis, peer benchmarking, and rating scenarios.
• Coordinate with industry and M&A bankers and other product teams on holistic capital structure advisory mandates.
• Work on multiple projects in small teams, with contact with clients, senior bankers, and firm partners.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an expected graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029.
• Demonstrated academic excellence and leadership experience on campus.
• Strong interest in corporate finance, credit, capital structure, and credit ratings.
• Foundational understanding of financial statements and familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Intellectual curiosity, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn about capital structure and capital allocation.
• Outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, combined with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
