About the role

Evercore seeks Summer Associates for its Houston Energy, Oil & Gas Group. Associates work closely with senior bankers on strategic transactions, conducting financial and valuation analysis, supporting due diligence, preparing client materials, managing live deal execution, and assisting business development. The program targets current first-year MBA students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial, valuation, industry, competitive, and due diligence analysis.
• Resolve complex financial and accounting issues for clients and transactions.
• Draft client presentation materials and support new business development.
• Assist with management and execution of live deal situations.
• Work closely with senior bankers on energy industry transactions.

Qualifications

• Current first-year MBA student from a top business school.
• Strong interest in investment banking focused on energy.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting.
• Superior analytical skills and demonstrated academic excellence.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
