2027 Strategic Advisory: Real Estate Strategic Advisory Summer Associate Program – New York

About the role

Evercore’s 10-week New York Summer Associate program is for current first-year MBA students supporting real estate strategic advisory and capital raising assignments. Associates evaluate strategic alternatives, M&A, restructurings, recapitalizations, and financing mandates while developing financial models, conducting analysis, supporting due diligence, and participating in client meetings.

About the Team

• The Real Estate Strategic Advisory group advises private and public real estate companies, sponsors, and investors globally.
• The group provides M&A advisory, capital raising, capital structure advice, recapitalizations, fundraising, and other strategic services.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop solutions for strategic alternatives, mergers and acquisitions, and complex financing assignments.
• Work on acquisition advisory, restructurings, recapitalizations, divestitures, partnerships, and joint ventures.
• Prepare for and attend client meetings as part of project teams.
• Build financial models, conduct industry analysis, and support due diligence activities.
• Contribute to new client development while managing several projects concurrently.

Requirements

• Current first-year MBA student from a top business school with several years of relevant work experience.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation, financial accounting, and real estate.
• Superior analytical skills and demonstrated academic excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to learn in a boutique environment.
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, achievement-oriented character with the ability to articulate ideas.
