Milan Off-Cycle Internship – Generalist Team (July - December 2027)

About the role

Six-month Milan off-cycle internship on Evercore’s Generalist Team, providing experience comparable to an analyst role. The intern will support deal teams through company and industry research, financial analysis, valuation modelling, transaction processes, and preparation of financial and strategy presentations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industry and company research and analysis.
• Analyse company accounts, profit and loss, and cash flow information.
• Assist with financial models to value and analyse companies or assets.
• Support transaction processes and preparation of marketing materials.
• Interpret financial and industry operational information.
• Prepare detailed financial and strategy presentations.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or higher, preferably in finance or accounting, with top grades.
• Currently enrolled in school.
• Italian speaker.
• Prior experience in M&A, private equity, or corporate M&A.
• Strong interest in corporate finance, telecoms, and adjacent industries.
• Strong interpersonal, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of financial modelling and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, Preqin, or similar investment banking applications.
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character.
