Security Engineer Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

DV Trading is seeking a Security Engineer Intern in London for Summer 2027. The role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise security operations, threat detection, risk management, security tooling, workflow automation, incident tracking, control testing, reporting, and security awareness initiatives under mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day security operations under the guidance of a mentor.
• Triage, document, and track security detections and incidents.
• Assist with tuning and maintaining security tools.
• Contribute to automation and scripting projects that streamline security workflows.
• Support risk assessments, gap analysis, and control testing.
• Produce security program health reporting and assist with security awareness initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity and eagerness to learn.
• Basic familiarity with Windows, macOS, Linux, and networking fundamentals.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to scripting or programming, including Python or PowerShell.
• Coursework or personal projects involving artificial intelligence or machine learning.
