About the role
Join DV Commodities as a Trading Intern in New York to learn diverse trading strategies across commodities markets. Gain hands-on experience rotating through desks, building trading applications, and receiving mentorship from experienced traders.
Role and Responsibilities
- Work closely with teams to learn various trading strategies including Market Making and Fundamental Discretionary approaches.
- Rotate on at least two trading desks to explore different trading styles.
- Build and maintain applications supporting trading activities, such as analytics dashboards.
- Back-test and present novel trading ideas to the team.
- Receive mentorship from senior and junior traders with exposure to senior leadership.
- Collaborate across desks in a cooperative culture.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Expected graduation by Summer 2028.
- Strong interest in trading and model development.
- High proficiency in Python and Excel.
- Strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability, onsite in New York 5 days a week.
Compensation
- Paid $45.00 per hour.
