About the role
Join DRW as a Quantitative Researcher to develop mathematical models and automated trading strategies using advanced statistical and machine learning methods. Collaborate with researchers, traders, and developers in a dynamic trading environment with comprehensive training provided.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop mathematical models using statistical learning and machine learning techniques.
- Collaborate on idea generation and strategy development with the research team.
- Conduct quantitative analysis of market data to identify trends and relationships.
- Assist software developers in translating research into production software.
- Optimize order execution and risk management in trading systems.
- Automate human-decision based trading strategies and prototype algorithmic trades.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in a technical discipline focusing on statistics, machine learning, or related fields.
- Graduating between December 2026 and August 2027 (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD).
- Experience handling large data sets and curiosity for model development.
- Proficiency in Python, R, MATLAB, or C++ programming for research.
- Strong problem-solving, statistics skills, and machine learning application experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and take initiative on assignments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary range: $250,000 to $300,000 based on experience and skills.
