About the role
Six-month, full-time seasonal internship in Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking & Capital Markets division in London. Interns support capital markets transactions, conduct company and financial analysis, prepare client materials, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across global teams. The programme includes formal training, continuous support, and exposure to multiple Capital Markets areas.
Role and Areas
- Work within Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Strategic Equity Transactions, Equity Distribution, or Corporate Private Solutions.
- Support day-to-day business activities and special projects across Investment Banking and Capital Markets.
- Gain experience with products, services, market-leading solutions, and their application to client needs.
Responsibilities
- Monitor capital markets activity, trends, investor sentiment, and specific company situations.
- Support client advisory and financial transactions while managing multiple projects and demanding global timelines.
- Prepare pitch books, corporate profiles, investor profiles, transaction documentation, and other marketing materials.
- Analyse financial, market, and transaction data to identify comparables and support pricing recommendations for new issuances.
- Develop relationships with sales, research, legal, investors, legal counsel, and other internal or external stakeholders.
Training and Development
- Receive formal training and continuous support throughout the internship programme.
- Build technical skills through comprehensive training; a financial background is not required.
- Develop professional networks and gain practical experience through real projects and client-focused work.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Complete all studies and graduation requirements between 1 August 2027 and 31 July 2028.
- Be able to start full-time work in July 2028, subject to legislation and visa requirements.
- Return to full-time study after the 2027 internship to remain eligible for the 2028 Graduate Programme.
- Achieve at least three A-Levels at AAA, including grade A in Mathematics, or equivalent UCAS points.
- Be on track for a 2:1 or First-class undergraduate degree, or equivalent.
- Have no more than 12 months of relevant full-time work experience.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrate interest in global capital markets, corporate finance, macroeconomics, and accounting.
- Communicate confidently, constructively, and effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Show strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Collaborate effectively across Deutsche Bank’s platform and global teams in support of clients.
- Fluency in a European language is desirable for some Investment Banking and Capital Markets placements.
