About the role

Nine-week 2027 summer internship in Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking & Capital Markets division in London. Interns receive formal training and continuous support while contributing to advisory, financing, research, valuation, modelling and transaction-related projects across sector, product and country coverage teams.

Responsibilities

  • Research companies and industries, supporting client advisory work and financial transactions.
  • Prepare confidential memoranda, board papers, pitch books, corporate profiles and transaction documentation.
  • Build financial models, valuations and financial statement forecasts.
  • Manage multiple projects and contribute to day-to-day business and special projects.
  • Work with Equity Sales and Research teams to track and win IPO opportunities.
  • Develop understanding of Deutsche Bank’s investment banking product suite.

Potential Placement Areas

  • Sector coverage includes Consumer, FIG, Healthcare, Industrials, Infrastructure and Utilities.
  • Additional sector coverage includes Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging, Leisure, Technology, Media and Telecom.
  • Product groups include Leveraged Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Country coverage includes Nordic, Central and Eastern Europe, CEEMEA.

Training And Programme

  • The nine-week programme provides formal training and continuous support.
  • Interns gain experience across different business areas and market-leading solutions.
  • A financial background is not required; training provides the technical skills needed for the role.
  • Interns are expected to return to full-time study after the internship.

Eligibility

  • Complete all studies and graduation requirements between 1 August 2027 and 31 July 2028.
  • Be able to start full-time work in July 2028, subject to legislation and visa requirements.
  • Achieve at least three A-Levels at AAA, including grade A in A-Level Maths, or equivalent.
  • Be on track for a 2:1 or First-class undergraduate degree, or equivalent.
  • Have no more than 12 months of full-time relevant work experience.
  • Submit a CV and A-Level or equivalent qualification evidence with the application.
