About the role

Ten-week New York internship with Deutsche Bank’s Fixed Income & Currencies Quantitative Trading team. Interns apply quantitative and programming skills to research and implement solutions for electronic liquidity provision across FX, rates, and bond products. The program offers formal training, real projects, and exposure to leaders and collaborative teams.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work on one substantial project or several smaller projects during the internship.
  • Apply quantitative and programming skills to research and implement practical solutions.
  • Develop quantitative skills through real-world applications and on-the-job experience.
  • Engage with leaders across the organization in a fast-paced, agile environment.

About the Division

  • The team provides electronic liquidity for flow products to global customers.
  • Products include FX spot and forwards, interest rate swaps, and government, corporate, and municipal bonds.
  • The team designs proprietary quantitative models driving trading systems.
  • Responsibilities include day-to-day risk and operations oversight and data-driven liquidity optimization.

Requirements and Eligibility

  • Study a postgraduate specialist MSc or PhD in a quantitative subject.
  • Relevant subjects include mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, economics, or finance.
  • Demonstrate strong quantitative skills and communicate ideas verbally, mathematically, and through code.
  • Have an outstanding academic record and complete all study requirements between December 1, 2027, and July 31, 2028.
  • Use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible judgment to data and outputs.
