About the role
Ten-week New York internship for current MBA or similar graduate students, supporting Fundamental Equities, D. E. Shaw Ventures, or Credit Opportunities. Interns research companies and sectors, conduct due diligence and primary research, develop investment hypotheses using proprietary tools, and contribute differentiated views within collaborative investment teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with investment teams using cross-sector research to develop differentiated, thematic investment views.
- Research companies and industry sectors, conducting due diligence to inform fundamental investments.
- Use proprietary data and technology tools to build and pressure-test investment hypotheses.
- Conduct primary research through management meetings, expert calls, and novel data analyses.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA or similar graduate program.
- Demonstrated academic and professional achievement.
- Bring a passion for investing, financial analysis aptitude, and independent thinking.
- Show exceptional attention to detail when analyzing and originating investment ideas.
- Comfort with data and interest in applying AI-enabled tools to fundamental research.
