About the role

Citi is hiring full-time Investment Banking Analysts in London for 2027, applicable to 2026 Citi Summer interns only. Analysts advise corporate clients on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, capital raising and related transactions. The programme includes six weeks of training, continued on-the-job development and potential international rotation or sponsored postgraduate study.

Responsibilities

  • Research industries and analyse trends supporting business development and client work.
  • Build financial models, assess valuations and explore corporate finance solutions.
  • Coordinate client data and support presentations of new ideas to clients.
  • Advise corporate clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and securities underwriting.

Programme and development

  • The analyst programme starts in mid-July with six weeks of training in London.
  • Training covers analyst fundamentals and Citi’s culture before joining an investment banking team.
  • Third-year analysts with consistently high ratings may receive a one-year team rotation.
  • Eligible analysts may alternatively receive sponsorship for a one-year London Business School Master’s in Finance.

Eligibility and skills

  • Applicable to 2026 Citi Summer interns only, as specified in the job title.
  • Be in your final university year or have already graduated.
  • Achieve or have achieved a 2:1 undergraduate degree, or equivalent, in any discipline.
  • Demonstrate interest in business and a desire to understand the financial industry.
  • Show intellectual curiosity, initiative, strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate integrity, ethical decision-making, adaptability and commitment to development.

Working arrangements

  • The role is based at 25 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5LB.
  • The current hybrid model requires three days weekly in the assigned office.
  • Up to two days working from home are optional, subject to business approval.

  • This is a Certified Role subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.
  • Candidates are assessed for honesty, integrity, reputation, financial soundness, competence and capability.
  • Assessment may include interviews, disclosures, permitted criminal-record, reference, credit and other background checks.
