About the role

Citi’s six-month London placement places analysts in the UK Corporate Broking team, supporting FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 clients. The role combines corporate finance with global equity-market analysis, covering market updates, valuation, capital-markets fundraising, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, investor analysis, research, and client relationship development.

Role and Team

  • Join Citi’s UK Corporate Broking team in London from February 2027.
  • Support coverage of blue-chip FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 corporate clients.
  • Combine corporate finance expertise with an understanding of global equity markets and market drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor equity-market news, developments, and trends using Citi’s global equities platform; communicate relevant information to clients.
  • Speak with mutual fund and hedge fund managers to understand institutional investor perspectives and company valuations.
  • Build financial models, assess valuations, and identify potential transaction opportunities for clients.
  • Research industries and analyse relevant market trends.
  • Analyse potential new investors to help strengthen clients’ shareholder bases.
  • Support client development, relationship building, and presentations of new ideas to clients.

Program and Working Model

  • Complete a six-month placement analyst program beginning in February 2027.
  • Receive training and practical experience through assignment to the UK Corporate Broking team.
  • Successful placement analysts may be considered for a full-time position after graduation.
  • Work from 25 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, with three mandatory office days and two optional home-working days.
