About the role
Citi’s London Financing Analyst programme supports corporate and government clients with capital-raising solutions. Analysts manage client relationships, analyse capital structures, originate and execute fixed-income and equity transactions, and use derivatives to address interest-rate and credit risk. The programme begins in July with six weeks of training and offers a hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships and dialogues with fixed-income, equity and corporate clients.
- Analyse clients’ capital-structure needs and develop potential financing solutions.
- Originate, structure, market and execute fixed-income and equity transactions.
- Support strategic transactions, including IPOs and LBOs, and routine refinancing.
- Understand institutional investors, capital pools and trends affecting financing markets.
- Use derivatives to help limit interest-rate and credit risk.
Training and Working Model
- The analyst programme begins in July with six weeks of intensive training.
- Training covers analyst-role fundamentals, financing topics and Citi’s culture.
- The role is based at 33 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London.
- Hybrid working requires three mandatory office days and allows two optional home days, subject to approval.
Requirements
- Be in the final year of university or have already graduated.
- Expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent, in any discipline.
- Demonstrate an interest in business and a desire to understand the financial industry.
- Show intellectual curiosity, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Demonstrate commitment to learning, personal growth, career development and ethical decision-making.
- Build rapport and relationships effectively in team environments.
Regulatory Requirements
- This is a Certified Role subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.
- Candidates must be assessed as fit and proper before performing the role.
- Assessment covers honesty, integrity, reputation, financial soundness, competence and capability.
- Screening may include interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal-record checks, references and credit checks.
