About the role

Citi seeks a penultimate-year student for a six-month Equity Capital Markets placement in London starting January 2027. The analyst will support IPOs, accelerated equity offerings, rights issues, and other capital-raising mandates through financial analysis, pitchbook development, transaction coordination, and client interaction. Successful analysts may be considered for full-time roles after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Develop pitchbooks and execute Equity Capital Markets mandates for Citi clients.
• Work with M&A, Financing, and Debt Capital Markets teams where required.
• Manage transaction processes, including compliance checks, committee approvals, and research compliance liaison.
• Analyse financial data, company valuations, discounted cash flows, financing, comparative, and pro forma analyses.
• Engage with clients, senior management, global sales teams, and Citi’s international network.
• Coordinate activities across the franchise and develop understanding of the investor base.

Programme and working model

• The six-month placement starts in January 2027 and provides Equity Capital Markets training.
• Successful placement analysts will be considered for full-time positions after graduation.
• The role is based at 25–33 Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London.
• The hybrid model requires three days in the assigned office, with two optional home-working days.
