About the role

Citi’s Quantitative Analysis Associate Program in London offers a full-time opportunity within Markets, with exposure to quantitative analysis, structuring, and exotics trading. Associates develop mathematical models, support pricing and risk management, collaborate with trading and sales teams, and create market product solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and manage mathematical models supporting the Markets business.
  • Price, trade, and manage risk associated with diverse market products.
  • Collaborate with traders and salespeople on technical product areas and client needs.
  • Develop new products aligned with Citi’s risk framework.
  • Market new products internally and occasionally present solutions directly to clients.
  • Respond to client-specific product solution requests using quantitative expertise and creativity.

Program Details

  • The program offers opportunities across Quantitative Analysis, Structuring, and Exotics Trading desks.
  • The program starts in summer 2026 with introductory training alongside the analyst class.
  • Incoming associates receive mentorship from senior professionals throughout the program.
  • The role is based at Citi’s London offices at 33 Canada Square, Canary Wharf.
  • The working model is hybrid, with up to two days working from home weekly.

Requirements

  • Obtained or currently pursuing a Double Masters or PhD in a scientific discipline.
  • Relevant disciplines include Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or similar fields.
  • Good understanding of finance and genuine interest in Markets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, planning, and organisational abilities.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred Attributes

  • Knowledge of VBA or Python is highly desirable.
