About the role

Citi’s Commercial Banking Summer Analyst Program offers a 10-week placement supporting relationship managers and analysts serving businesses with annual sales from $10 million to more than $3 billion. Analysts gain experience in client coverage, credit underwriting, financial analysis, lending, product solutions, deal management, and client presentations.

Program and Training

• The 10-week program starts in June with in-depth formal training and hands-on role experience.
• Ongoing training covers sales, credit, products, technology, and professional skills.
• Junior and senior mentors provide support throughout the program.
• Training covers client coverage, credit products, loan underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and Citi policies.

Responsibilities

• Support relationship managers and analysts managing existing client portfolios and generating new business.
• Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial analysis, and valuation modelling.
• Support secured, unsecured, term, syndicated, leveraged, and cross-border lending processes.
• Help determine suitable banking products by partnering with bankers and product teams.
• Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memos, and other client-related materials.
• Collaborate with credit, risk, legal, compliance, operations, technology, and other internal teams.

Requirements

• Due to graduate in 2028.
• On course to achieve a 2:1 or equivalent undergraduate degree in any discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in business.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively with strong organisation and initiative.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, ethical decision-making, intellectual curiosity, and leadership potential.
