About the role

Citi’s Commercial Banking Full-Time Analyst Program in London begins in July 2027. Analysts support businesses with annual sales from $10 million to over $3 billion, combining client engagement, financial analysis, lending support, deal management, and structured training across credit, products, technology, and professional skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct company research, industry analysis, financial analysis, valuations, discounted cash flow, and pro-forma modelling.
  • Support commercial lending, including revolving credit facilities, term loans, syndicated loans, leveraged loans, and cross-border loans.
  • Partner with Bankers and Product teams to identify solutions supporting clients’ operational and expansion goals.
  • Prepare business development presentations, pitch books, prospect memoranda, and other client-related materials.
  • Manage aspects of the client experience and contribute to deal management activities.
  • Collaborate with product, credit risk, legal, operations, compliance, technology, and other internal teams.

Training and Development

  • The program begins with in-depth training in July 2027, combining formal instruction with hands-on experience.
  • Ongoing training covers sales, credit, products, technology, and professional skills.
  • Junior and senior mentorship supports professional development throughout the program.
  • Analysts are matched with a Commercial Banking team based on their interests and Citi’s business needs.
  • Training covers client coverage, credit products, loan underwriting, credit monitoring, and Citi policies and procedures.

Program Focus

  • Develop understanding of the Commercial Banking target market, value proposition, and client coverage model.
  • Learn how bankers engage clients, identify needs, and recommend suitable banking products.
  • Gain experience with credit origination, loan structuring, documentation, and assigned portfolio monitoring.
  • Work with Citi’s deposit, lending, cash management, trade, foreign exchange, and capital markets solutions.
  • Engage with clients, prospects, and centers of influence.
