About the role

Citi’s 10-week Services Summer Analyst Program in Toronto offers hands-on experience supporting institutional financial services through market research, financial analysis, business development, client engagement, and process optimization. Participants receive initial training, join a team based on interests and business needs, and may be invited to return as full-time analysts after graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research on industry trends and macroeconomic factors.
  • Develop materials supporting business development, product commercialization, and revenue growth.
  • Support process optimization initiatives that improve efficiency and mitigate risk.
  • Analyze client data to identify opportunities and improve service offerings.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Participate in networking events, training sessions, and leadership discussions.

Program Experience

  • Complete a 10-week summer program combining training sessions with hands-on, on-the-job learning.
  • Undertake an initial training week before placement with a team based on interests and business needs.
  • Work on projects involving financial analysis, business development, client engagement, and market research.
  • Use analytical techniques and gain exposure to AI tools supporting automation, client segmentation, and decision-making.
  • Access mentorship, career development sessions, and networking opportunities with senior leaders and Citi professionals.
  • Successful participants may be invited to return as full-time analysts upon graduation.

Services Organization

  • Support solutions including cash management, trade finance, custody, fund administration, and collateral management.
  • Help institutional clients optimize liquidity, working capital, transactions, asset safeguarding, and performance analytics.
  • Explore how advanced analytics and artificial intelligence enhance efficiency, client experience, and risk management.

Requirements

  • Be a college junior graduating between December 2027 and May 2028.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills.
  • Show accuracy, attention to detail, time management, organization, integrity, resilience, and a strong desire to learn.
  • Work autonomously as a self-starter and execute quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have working knowledge of PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred GPA is 3.5 or above.
  • Interest in financial services and how technology, including AI, is transforming the industry.
  • Curiosity about AI applications for efficiency, client experience, and risk management.
  • Exposure to analytical platforms or willingness to learn AI-specific tools.
  • Applicants from all academic disciplines are considered.
