About the role

Citi’s Summer Technology Analyst Program places interns in Production Support, maintaining and optimizing live systems across global banking technology. Analysts troubleshoot incidents, improve monitoring, automate processes, and collaborate with technology and business teams. The program offers technical training, networking, mentoring, and real-world projects in a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize critical live production systems for health, stability, peak performance, and business continuity.
• Investigate and resolve incidents across varying severity, coordinating with developers, business teams, and technology partners.
• Monitor end-to-end application environments and improve alerting with ITRS Geneos and Grafana.
• Develop scripts and applications to automate processes, improve efficiency, and support robust production solutions.
• Bridge technology and business needs across Services, Markets, Banking, Functions, and Data organizations.

Technology Exposure

• Use Linux/Unix, SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Python, application servers, web technologies, networking, cloud, and Kubernetes.
• Explore microservices development with Java, Spring Framework, and Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
• Work with React or Angular, Apigee, TypeScript, and HTML5 for front-end web development.
• Use generative AI tools and practices, including GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, workflow design, and optimization.
• Apply Splunk, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics to track customer journeys and measure product value.

Program Experience

• Begin in early June with education covering analyst fundamentals and Citi’s culture.
• Receive on-the-desk training, speaker sessions, networking, mentoring, and structured development opportunities.
• Work on globally scoped projects with cross-functional teams and contribute to real-world banking technology.
• Summer Analysts may return after graduation as full-time technology analysts.
