About the role

Summer Technology Analyst internship in Citi’s Application Development team, based in New York or New Jersey. Interns develop, test, debug, and support scalable software in agile environments, with exposure to backend, frontend, generative AI, mobile, and data analytics technologies. The program includes formal education, desk training, networking, and cohort-based development.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality, scalable software in an agile environment based on business requirements.
• Write code consistent with quality standards and support testing cycles and post-production deployments.
• Test and debug code using appropriate tools to help ensure defect-free programming.
• Participate in peer code reviews and collaborate with globally scoped, cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to real-world banking technology projects, including digital banking, cybersecurity, and data-powered innovation.

Program Experience

• Program starts in early June with education covering the Analyst role and Citi’s culture.
• Receive on-the-desk training, speaker sessions, networking opportunities, mentoring, and structured development support.
• Join a cohort to learn company processes, tools, and technical skills together.
• Work on globally scoped projects and gain insight into technology’s role in financial services.

Potential Technology Exposure

• Backend development: Java, Python, and Spring Framework.
• Frontend and mobile development: React, TypeScript, Angular, HTML5, Swift, and Kotlin.
• Generative AI and AI agents, including prompt engineering, workflow design, and automated code generation.
• Data analytics using Splunk, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics to measure product adoption and value.
