About the role

Join Citi’s New York Corporate Banking, Sustainability and Corporate Transitions team as a full-time Analyst in July 2027. Support decarbonization strategies, climate-risk assessments, sustainable finance opportunities, and corporate banking solutions through financial, capital markets, emissions, and sector research. The two-year program includes intensive training and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with banking teams, risk officers, and senior leaders on decarbonization strategies and client climate-risk considerations.
  • Support client discussions about climate plans, energy transitions, emissions reduction strategies, and sector-specific sustainable finance opportunities.
  • Assess clients’ climate and low-carbon transition profiles across sectors relevant to Citi’s 2030 net-zero targets.
  • Conduct accounting, financial, and capital markets analysis, including work with complex emissions accounting models.
  • Engage third-party organizations and vendors on evolving climate frameworks, tools, and data solutions.
  • Research sector trends, macroeconomic impacts, and policies while developing climate-risk capabilities and decision-useful materials.

Team Focus

  • The team supports Citi’s global decarbonization and sustainability strategy, including sustainable and nature-positive outcomes.
  • It partners with sector banking, capital markets, corporate functions, climate risk, and Institutional Credit Management teams.
