About the role

Citi’s ten-week Financial Management Associate summer internship offers MBA and master’s students Corporate Finance exposure in Tampa. Associates work on challenging projects across Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and Chief Finance Offices, while receiving technical training, senior-leader orientation, mentorship, and development opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Complete challenging Corporate Finance projects aligned with Citi Finance objectives and growth strategy.
• Gain exposure to Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and Chief Finance Offices.
• Support financial performance, strategic execution, resource optimization, finance transformation, and controls.
• Apply analytical, process-improvement, automation, and emerging technology skills to finance problems.
• Responsibilities vary depending on placement and include rotational development opportunities.
• Build relationships across Citi’s global Finance community and engage with senior Finance leaders.

Program Experience

• Participate in a Citi orientation featuring business overviews from senior leaders across the firm.
• Receive training in banking-industry topics, technical finance and accounting, communication, and presentation skills.
• Receive guidance and support from an assigned mentor throughout the program.
• Work with Finance professionals who provide leadership direction and development opportunities.
• The summer program is a significant feeder pool for Citi’s full-time FMA Program.
