About the role

Citi’s 24-month Financial Management Associate program offers MBA and master’s graduates three rotations across Corporate Finance. Associates gain experience in areas such as Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and business-aligned Chief Finance Offices while developing technical, leadership, analytical, and transformation skills.

Program and Responsibilities

  • Complete three eight-month rotations across Corporate Finance, subject to business needs and program availability.
  • Support financial performance, strategic execution, resource optimization, finance transformation, controls, and people development.
  • Work with senior managers and leaders while building analytical, leadership, communication, and business relationship skills.
  • Upon successful completion, associates may be considered for opportunities within Citi Finance.

Training and Development

  • Begin with Welcome Week and comprehensive global training starting in July.
  • Complete coursework covering accounting, financial modeling, technical skills, presentation, communication, and leadership.
  • Build knowledge of Citi’s major businesses and Corporate Finance disciplines.
  • Gain access to senior Corporate Finance leaders and develop relationships across Citi’s global Finance community.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an MBA or master’s degree in Accounting, Financial Strategy, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Have at least three years of significant, related full-time professional work experience.
  • Graduate between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Do not require sponsorship for United States work authorization now or at the time of hire.
  • Demonstrate strategic and analytical thinking, sound risk judgment, initiative, resilience, and professional maturity.
  • Possess strong written, verbal, presentation, relationship-building, and complex financial communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or FRM are considered advantageous.
  • Multilingual capabilities are considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in data analytics, database management, information systems, or digital technology.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Interest in technology-driven process automation, optimization, generative AI, and emerging technologies.
