About the role

Join Citi as a full-time Analyst in Houston focusing on Natural Resources (Energy). Develop skills in financial analysis, credit risk, and client management within the energy sector, covering upstream, midstream, power, utilities, and clean energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 10-20 clients with deal teams including Analysts and senior Credit Officers.
  • Contribute to deal execution with financial analysis, modeling, risk analysis, and due diligence.
  • Support senior bankers in client relationship management and collaborate with internal partners.
  • Assist in training and developing junior Analysts on the team.
  • Conduct company research and industry analysis to identify trends and risks in energy.
  • Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; energy-related coursework a plus.
  • Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with financial modeling, data analysis, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must obtain Series 63 and 79 licenses and pass SIE within 150 days of joining.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary approximately $100,000, with a range of $95,000 to $130,000.
  • Eligible for discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
