About the role

Citi’s 10-week Internal Audit Summer Analyst internship in Dallas provides real-world experience assessing governance, risk management, and internal controls. Interns receive classroom training, mentoring, networking opportunities, and cross-functional exposure, contribute to audit teams, present their accomplishments to senior management, and may be considered for full-time Internal Audit Analyst programs.

Responsibilities

• Support independent and timely assurance across Citi’s core businesses and global functions.
• Assess governance, risk management, internal controls, and control frameworks.
• Complete real-world work and add value to assigned Internal Audit teams.
• Gain cross-functional exposure through work supporting different Citi functions.
• Present accomplishments and lessons learned to senior Internal Audit management.

Training and Development

• Begin with a three-day training program introducing Citi and its Internal Audit organization.
• Receive structured classroom training, individual development opportunities, and mentoring.
• Participate in networking opportunities with interns, program participants, and Internal Audit professionals.
• Attend senior speaker events featuring discussions about careers and Internal Audit functions.
• Receive support from both senior and junior mentors throughout the program.
