Markets – Sales and Trading, Off-Cycle Internship, Paris – France, 2027

About the role

Join Citi’s Paris Markets team as an off-cycle intern analyst from January 2027. You will gain exposure to rates, equities, commodities, credit, futures and FX while supporting trading, risk, quantitative research, client materials and post-trade activity. The internship offers training alongside experienced professionals, with possible consideration for a full-time program.

Responsibilities

• Support market making, trading book risk management, pricing, hedging and trading analysis.
• Assist with risk reconciliation, P&L reporting, trade booking and maintaining desk databases.
• Contribute to quantitative research on systematic trading strategies and risk model improvements.
• Develop trade ideas and monitor market trends using Python and VBA.
• Prepare market updates, presentations, sales materials, derivatives content and client trade ideas.
• Support pre- and post-trade services, client reporting and collaboration across internal departments.

Program and Training

• The six-month Markets intern analyst program starts in January 2027.
• Work alongside experienced traders and professionals handling real-time pricing and risk.
• Gain exposure to rates, equities, commodities, credit, futures and foreign exchange.
• Successful analysts may be considered for a full-time program after the internship.

Work Environment

• The role is based at Citi’s Paris office at 25 rue Balzac, 75008 Paris.
• The workplace uses a hybrid model, with up to two days working from home weekly.
