About the role

Citi’s six-month Investment Banking placement in Zurich starts in January 2027. Placement Analysts support mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, capital raising, and securities underwriting, gaining practical experience in financial analysis, valuation, modelling, client presentations, transaction execution, and internal controls while working with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyse company information, conduct industry research, and organise financial data for transactions.
• Build financial models covering company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, financing structures, and comparable analyses.
• Prepare and finalise business development presentations communicating strategic insights and proposals to clients.
• Coordinate workflows with internal teams and external working groups to support timely project execution.
• Prepare internal documentation and comply with control and compliance requirements.
