About the role

Six-month Investment Banking internship in Madrid starting January 2027. Analysts support client transactions involving mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and securities offerings through research, financial modelling, valuation, presentations, coordination, and documentation. Citi provides on-the-job training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyse company, industry, and financial information to support transaction execution and client work.
• Build financial models covering valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, financing structures, and comparative company analyses.
• Prepare and refine business development presentations communicating complex financial concepts clearly and professionally.
• Coordinate workflows with internal teams and external stakeholders to support smooth project progression.
• Prepare internal documentation while following control and compliance requirements.

Program Experience

• Join Citi’s Madrid Investment Banking team as an integral member supporting ongoing client projects and transaction execution.
• Gain exposure to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, and equity, debt, and derivative securities transactions.
• Receive structured foundational learning, on-the-job training, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
