About the role

Citi seeks Off-Cycle Analysts for a six-month Investment Banking internship in Madrid, starting January 2027. Interns support corporate advisory and transaction execution, potentially covering mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and equity, debt, or derivative securities. The program provides training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyse company information, conduct industry research, and organise financial data for transaction execution.
• Build financial models covering company valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, financing structures, and comparative analyses.
• Create and refine professional business-development presentations communicating complex financial concepts effectively.
• Coordinate tasks and workflows with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project progression.
• Prepare internal documentation and comply with applicable control and compliance requirements.

Program

• Join Citi’s Investment Banking team in Madrid as an integral member supporting ongoing client projects and transaction execution.
• Potential transaction work includes mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financial restructurings, and securities underwriting or distribution.
• Receive on-the-job training, mentorship, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
