About the role
Citi’s Investment Banking team in Milan is seeking a six-month Placement Analyst Intern starting January 2027. The role supports corporate finance transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, underwriting, and securities distribution, while developing research, financial modelling, valuation, client coordination, communication, and presentation skills under senior guidance.
Responsibilities
- Research industries and analyze trends relevant to business development.
- Build financial models, assess valuations, and evaluate corporate finance solutions.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, underwriting, and securities distribution activities.
- Coordinate data with clients and assist with presenting ideas to clients.
Training and Progression
- Work within an Investment Banking team throughout the internship period.
- Receive guidance from senior analysts and associates on developing analyst skills.
- Strong performance may lead to a possible three-month internship extension.
Requirements
- Available to start in January 2027.
- Currently enrolled at a university able to provide an internship agreement.
- Strong academic record and an interest in Investment Banking.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Demonstrate strong communication, planning, organizational, teamwork, and learning skills.
- Show integrity, ethical decision-making, business interest, and commitment to career development.
