About the role
Citi is seeking a Placement Analyst for a three-month Investment Banking internship in Frankfurt during 2027. The role supports corporate and financial sponsor transactions through industry research, financial analysis, valuation, modelling, client presentations, and coordination with project teams. High-performing interns may be considered for the following year’s Full Time Analyst programme.
Responsibilities
- Research industries and companies, analyse financial data, and support transaction execution.
- Build financial models, including valuations, discounted cash flow, financing, and comparative analyses.
- Prepare and finalise business development and client presentation materials.
- Coordinate activities with internal and external project teams.
- Prepare internal documentation supporting control and compliance requirements.
- Use AI-powered tools appropriately for research, financial analysis, and presentations.
Candidate Profile
- Currently pursuing Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a similar degree.
- Demonstrate excellent university grades and previous experience in banking, consulting, audit, or transaction advisory.
- Be fluent in English and available for a three-month internship starting in 2027.
- Work effectively in teams and demonstrate strong communication, planning, and organisational skills.
- Show intellectual curiosity, initiative, commitment to development, and interest in financial industry careers.
- Demonstrate integrity, ethical decision-making, and a proactive approach to creative solutions.
