About the role
Citi’s Frankfurt Investment Banking Placement Analyst internship offers students hands-on experience supporting M&A and capital markets transactions. Over three months, interns research industries, analyse financial data, build valuation models, prepare client presentations and coordinate project teams. Strong performers may be considered for the following year’s Full Time Analyst programme.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyse company information, industry research and financial data for transactions.
- Develop financial models covering valuations, discounted cash flow, financing and comparable-company analyses.
- Create and finalise business development and client presentation materials.
- Coordinate tasks with internal and external project teams.
- Prepare internal documentation, including control and compliance materials.
- Use AI-powered tools appropriately for research, financial analysis and presentations.
Team and Opportunity
- Join Citi’s Frankfurt Investment Banking team advising corporate and financial sponsor clients in Germany.
- Support private and public M&A, capital markets, restructuring, underwriting and securities distribution transactions.
- Become fully integrated into project teams and contribute to day-to-day client advisory work.
- Top-performing Placement Analysts may be hired into the following year’s Full Time Analyst programme.
