About the role

Six-month Investment Banking placement in Citi’s Financial Institutions Group in Milan, starting October 2026. The intern will support M&A, equity and debt capital markets transactions, conduct industry research, build financial models, assess valuations, and assist with client development in an international project-team environment.

Responsibilities

• Research industry trends and support business development analysis across the Italian financial institutions landscape.
• Build financial models, assess valuations, and explore corporate finance solutions for transaction analysis.
• Coordinate client data and assist with presenting new ideas to clients.
• Support M&A, equity capital markets, and debt capital markets transactions within project teams.

Program Details

• Gain knowledge of Italian banking, FinTech, asset management, insurance, and diversified financials sectors.
• Develop analytical, financial modelling, communication, planning, and organisational skills through day-to-day project work.
• Work as an integrated member of the Financial Institutions Group within Citi’s Investment Banking division.

Requirements

• Available to start in October 2026.
• Currently enrolled at a university able to provide an internship agreement.
• Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in Investment Banking.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Clearly state graduation grade, exams GPA, and GMAT grade if applicable on the CV.
