Banking, Financing, Equity Capital Markets, Placement Analyst Internship, Paris - France 2027

About the role

Six-month analyst internship with Citi’s Paris-based EMEA Equity Capital Markets team, starting January 2027. The intern will support equity issuance origination and execution, prepare client materials, analyse markets and transactions, and collaborate with investment banking and markets teams across the bank.

Responsibilities

• Prepare client presentation materials, including pitchbooks.
• Support the execution of live Equity Capital Markets transactions.
• Work with investment banking, markets and other complementary teams across the bank.
• Monitor markets and macroeconomic trends for client updates.
• Analyse stocks and indices, and benchmark previous Equity Capital Markets transactions.
• Condense company and market information into macroeconomic and equity-market updates.

Candidate Profile

• Currently enrolled at a tier-one university or leading French business or engineering school.
• Able to obtain an internship agreement from the educational institution.
• Available to start in January 2027 for the full internship period.
• Fluent in French and English, with another European language desirable.
• Strong analytical, presentation, numerical, communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; Bloomberg, Dealogic or FactSet knowledge advantageous.
