About the role

Citi’s Debt Capital Markets team in Frankfurt is seeking a Placement Analyst for a six-month internship starting January 2027. The role supports bond and private placement transactions for DACH financial institutions and corporates, while providing exposure to client coverage, fixed income markets, transaction execution, pricing, and related banking teams.

Responsibilities

• Support senior team members with origination and execution of benchmark bond and private placement transactions.
• Assist DACH Financial Institution Groups and Corporate Debt Group team members with daily activities.
• Prepare pitch books during the preliminary stages of transactions.
• Collect market information supporting client coverage and decision-making.
• Prepare term sheets and indicative pricing updates.
• Condense research into macroeconomic and credit market updates for clients.

Team Exposure

• Work alongside the DCM team advising clients on fixed income product issuance and capital structure.
• Collaborate closely with Fixed Income Sales and Corporate and Investment Bankers.
• Gain practical experience supporting live transactions and day-to-day Debt Capital Markets activities.
