About the role

Six-month Placement Analyst internship in Citi’s Frankfurt Debt Capital Markets team, starting January 2027. The role supports issuance of fixed-income products for DACH financial institutions and corporate clients, combining transaction execution, pitch-book preparation, market research, pricing updates, and collaboration with Fixed Income Sales and Corporate & Investment Bankers.

Responsibilities

• Support senior team members with origination and execution of benchmark bond and private placement transactions.
• Assist DACH Financial Institution Groups and Corporate Debt Group team members with daily work.
• Prepare pitch books during the preliminary stages of transactions.
• Collect market information supporting client coverage and decision-making.
• Prepare term sheets and indicative pricing updates.
• Condense research into macroeconomic and credit market updates for clients.

Team Exposure

• Work closely with the DACH Debt Capital Markets team in Frankfurt.
• Collaborate with Fixed Income Sales and Corporate & Investment Bankers.
• Gain exposure to fixed-income products and client capital structure advice.
• Participate actively in the team’s day-to-day activities.
